Canada-European Union Workshop: A Growing Market for Clean Technologies!

Écotech Québec, in partnership with the Government of Canada and the European Union, invites clean technology companies to participate in the Canada-EU Workshop, to discover the benefits of the CETA and to meet potential European and canadian partners, on November 6-7 in Montreal. The workshop will includes market presentations, targeted B2B and B2G meetings, potential buyers and site visits. Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA): Discover the benefits for cleantech companies.


CETA can play an important role in fostering a favourable business environment for increased trade in clean technology goods and services.

  • The EU is the world’s third-largest importer clean-tech products, with imports totaling $148 billion in 2016.
  • CETA eliminates EU tariffs on Canadian clean-tech products.
  • Canadian clean-tech service providers are on equal footing with their EU competitors and will receive better treatment than most of their non-EU competitors.
  • Canadian clean-tech companies also benefit from improved labour mobility provisions, expanded access to EU government procurement opportunities, and the eligibility to test products for European conformity in Canadian facilities.

1- To be eligible, you must complete this form following your registration.
2- The selection committee will select the participating companies on the basis of the form to be completed. Only companies selected by the selection committee will be invited to participate in the Workshop.




- The day of November 7th will be entirely in the field

- Companies must provide their transports according to the planned meetings

- Businesses need to plan their lunch, as morning and afternoon visits will depend on business interest.
